Sosua is a vacation treasure increasingly popular with visitors from all over Europe and America. It is conveniently located just 15 minutes from the Puerto Plata international airport.
Until the late 60’s, the town of Sosua was virtually non-existent, but its spectacular features ensured its growth as a place that now hosts an amazing array of vacation and adventure opportunities. The Eastern Winds and warm, turquoise ocean waters, make it an ideal holiday area. You'll find the colorful view in the Sosua Bay an amazing sight to see!
The tropical climate, magnificent waters and lush varied geography of the area make Sosua the ultimate in vacation destinations. Whether you desire to lay back in a beach chair and feel your worries float away, or are keen to fill your days with the abundant variety of activities available - mountain biking, surfing, horseback riding, scuba diving, snorkeling and golfing, to name a few, Sosua has what you're looking for.
The action doesn't stop here when the sun sets. Restaurants and bars in the center of Sosua with candlelight tables, culinary treats. The nightlife heats up when friendly people from all over the world, gather to share cocktails and dance to world beats. Sleep is a must for the next day's activities, but it will be hard to tear yourself away from the fun.

Waterfall "El Limon" and the beach Las Terrenas
Our trip takes you to the magnificent waterfall "El Limon "on the peninsula of Samana. The Waterfall is located between Samana and Las Terrenas and about 300 meters above sea level.
From the small village "El Limon", we go by horse through a picturesque forest, over the mountains, through valleys and across rivers until reaching the "Salto del Limon". This ride takes about 30 min. (accompanied by guides) and then there is another 10 min. walk. El Limon is without doubt, one of the most beautiful waterfalls of the island. From an altitude of about 50 meters, the water drops into a clear pond, in which you will of course have the time to take a refreshing dip. Later, back in the village, we will stop at a ranch to have a delicious typical lunch. After, we continue to the beautiful beach of Las Terrenas. Of course there will be ample opportunities to take pictures. Playa de Las Terrenas invites you to swim and lay down on the beach to enjoy the delightful Dominican sun. We will stay at the beach for about one hour.
National Park "Los Haitises"
Let us take you to “Los Haitises” where you will see local flora and fauna. Walk in the footsteps of the Tainos and Pirates. From Sanchez, we will cross the bay of Samana in about 30 min. On the way we will get to see Pelicans, Frigates and with a bit of luck we will have Dolphins to accompany us. The park also shows you the original Rainforest. You will see a paradise that you normally only see in the movies. There are caves in the park where the Tainos and Pirates used to live. You can also admire original murals from the Tainos. Experience a lost culture
Monte Cristi - Haitien Border
We travel along the coastal mountains and the Cibao Valley to Monte Cristi.
Along the way you will have a beautiful view on the biggest Banana plantation. Then we drive through the foothills of the "Cordillera Central" and visit a Dominican family, where we get fresh fruits and fruit juices. After that, we are on our way to the Haitian border to visit the market in Dajabon. In Monte Cristi we have a nice lunch. By boat we will visit a lonely island for swimming and relaxing. You can also see some of the Salt extraction plant on the island. A day filled with contrasts since we pass different vegetation and climate zone.
Dolphin Swim
At " Ocean World " the visitors expecting an exciting Dolphin show full of action. The Visitors can get in contact with these lovely animals, they can touch and even swim with them. Another highlight is the show with the funny Sea lions. This Dolphin aquarium has the biggest natural basin worldwide. Professional caring of the animal and the training are unique.
More attractions in Ocean World are Tigers, Sharks, big snorkeling basins, a jungle and many more excitements
Puerto Plata
We drive 30 minutes to Puerto Plata where we visit the "Brugal Rum Factory", the" Fortress San Felipe" and the "Amber Museum". You will also have ample time for shopping.
"Down Hill" Mountain Bike
We call this the Down Hill River Experience! At "Sabaneta" you stop for the best Yogurt, and then we go to the Mountains of Moca and have a stop for a beautiful view. After you go for the real mountain biking. You will see Dominican villages, great views, stops for fruit and drinks. You will end the mountain biking at the most beautiful place of the Dominican Republic. There you see the Yasica River and you can float on this river with a big tube. Very relaxing and funny. After a typical lunch you go back. An adventure and something you will not forget. And take some beautiful pictures.
Punta Rusia "Paradise Island"
On our way to "Paradise Island" you are passing the mountains, "Cordillera Septentrional", through the Cibao Valley, passing plantations of Fruits, Tobacco, Rice and enormous Cactus forests. After the breakfast in " Laguna Salada ", we will get to Punta Rusia. Once there, we continue our trip by boat. Passing the most beautiful "Coral reefs" in the entire Caribbean and the mangroves, you will reach Paradise Island. There, you will have three hours to enjoy the dreamful beach or discover by snorkeling 120 different corals. Back at Punta Rusia, you will have lunch.
